DISCOVER at ADA 2018: exciting follow-up findings
Global 1-year follow-up DISCOVER data on treatment, outcomes and risk factors of people with type 2 diabetes will be shared in four posters and a moderated discussion at the 78th Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association, 22–26 June in Orlando, FL, USA.
The DISCOVER team are pleased to announce that the following posters presenting 1-year data from the DISCOVER study will be presented during the General Poster Session at 12:00–13:00 on Sunday 24 June.
Prof. Kamlesh Khunti will present a poster titled Individualized HbA1c targets in people with type 2 diabetes initiating second-line therapy: the global DISCOVER study (1629-P).
Two posters led by Dr Mikhail Kosiborod will also be presented: Temporal trends in the use of sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors: the global DISCOVER study (1141-P) and Vascular events in patients with type 2 diabetes in the year following initiation of second-line therapy: the DISCOVER study (1562-P).
Prof. Bernard Charbonnel will present a poster titled Change over 12 months in HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose and weight among patients with type 2 diabetes in 37 countries: DISCOVER (1615-P). This poster will also be included in a moderated discussion titled Type 2 diabetes – risk factors and complications on Saturday 23 June.
