DISCOVER meetings at ADA 2018
The DISCOVER Scientific Committee and investigators attended fruitful meetings at ADA 2018 in Orlando, FL, USA.
Beyond presenting four brilliant posters during the ADA’s 78th Scientific Sessions, the DISCOVER Scientific Committee and investigators came together for face-to-face meetings, to ensure the continued success of the study.
The attendees of these meetings had productive discussions on data collection and patient retention, in addition to publication plans for 2019. The Scientific Committee was pleased to see the excellent engagement at local congresses all over the world, and are looking forward to seeing more countries reporting their results!
The investigator meeting was also an opportunity to gather feedback from investigators on DISCOVER data, and to share experiences of local clinical practice. One hot topic was the analysis of glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) targets, which showed that surprisingly few DISCOVER patients had HbA1c levels measured, despite guideline recommendations. Thank you to everyone who participated in these meetings, and to all the DISCOVER investigators for driving the success of the study. Keep checking the DISCOVER website for more exciting news coming soon!
